What's the Verdict?
03 September 2009
Well, the reviews for 'The Curse of the Black Comet' are in, and what's the verdict?

"The heftiest slice of ham you’ll see this side of Christmas – and terrific fun, to boot" declares SFX. "Pure audio magic," adds Total Sci-Fi. Den of Geek say "A first-class romp... one of the best Scarifyers stories yet." And Sci-Fi Online said "This audio CD is almost the perfect present, so treat yourself and get a copy." So if you still haven't, then do!
Strangely different
12 August 2009
The more keen eyed amongst you may have noticed that there's something strangely different about the Cosmic Hobo website. In the next few days we'll be updating the site and adding a few new features, so please be patient and bear with us if the site looks a little odd in the meantime!
The Curse of the Black Comet
12 July 2009
Well, it's been quite a wait, but the fourth Scarifyers tale, The Curse of the Black Comet, is almost upon us. A globe-trotting tale of mysterious Egyptian boxes, weird lights in the sky and civil servants, it's the Scarifyers most epic adventure yet. And their loudest, as it stars none other than Prince Vulcan himself, Brian Blessed, alongside the regulars.

The Curse of the Black Comet is released on September 1st, and you can pre-order your copy here.
For King and Country on BBC7
15 February 2009
We're pleased to announce that BBC 7 will be broadcasting the third series of The Scarifyers from next Sunday. Garen Ewing interview
14 February 2009
A lot of people have commented on the fact that the Scarifyers artwork looks a bit like Tintin. There's a very good reason for that, as you'll discover if you hop on over to the Forbidden Planet International Blog, where Scarifyers artist Garen Ewing is interviewed about Tintin, writing comics and his magnum opus The Rainbow Orchid.
Sci-Fi Now
02 November 2008
If you buy the November issue of Sci-Fi Now magazine, you'll discover that all of page 18 is given over to a thought-provoking interview with the creators of The Scarifyers, Simon Barnard and Paul Morris. "In the fourth one we sort of reach a bit of a peak with an international dimension," says Morris, bafflingly.

And if you want to go for the whole audio-visual experience, you can also hear Barnard's drab tones spoiling the otherwise interesting Yog Radio podcast.
Gordon's Alive!
11 October 2008
News item photo
Nick, Terry and the rest of the Scarifyers gang returned to the studio this week to record episode four, "The Curse of the Black Comet". But this time they were joined by shouty bearded thesp Brian Blessed.

Brian joins the cast to play the world’s worst explorer, Sir Basil Champion. "The extraordinary thing is that I always wanted to play Arthur Conan Doyle's Professor Challenger, and this is the opposite side of the coin, Basil Champion. Professor Challenger is a great explorer, but Basil Champion is completely useless," says Brian.

The Curse of the Black Comet will be released in 2009.
